The short version. We store your email address, which of the four options you selected, and the dates you consented and confirmed. We do not store your IP address, your browser, your location, or anything else. There are no analytics and no third-party scripts on this site. Your address stays in our own database on our own server — no mailing-list company ever receives it. You can have it deleted instantly, at any time, without giving a reason.
Burnardo is the data controller for the information described here. For anything relating to your data, write to privacy@burnardo.com.
Your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR, given by ticking the box and then confirming through the link we emailed you. We use double opt-in so that nobody can add an address they do not control — which matters more than usual for a product like this one.
Until you ask us to delete it, or until twelve months after launch, whichever comes first. Addresses that never complete confirmation are removed automatically after seven days.
Nobody. The list is not sold, shared, rented or synced anywhere. Our web host (20i, United Kingdom) necessarily stores the database on our behalf as a processor — that is the full extent of third-party involvement.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. You can withdraw consent at any time — every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and using it deletes the address rather than flagging it. Email privacy@burnardo.com and we'll act on the same day.
If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would much rather you told us first.
If this notice changes in a way that affects data already collected under it, we will email you before the change takes effect rather than quietly updating this page.
